An extraordinarily talented pianist, arranger, composer, conductor and choreographer, Karl Van Richards has captured the hearts of audiences with his fine performances, endearing personality and beautiful smile.
As a pianist, he made his orchestral debut at age 17 playing the Grieg Piano Concerto in A Minor having won the Victoria M. Griffith Concerto competition, and since then, he has appeared as a soloist and in orchestral performances in his native Jamaica, The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, The Cayman Islands, The United States and Austria.

About His Music
Karl Van Richards has amassed Certificates of Distinction from the Royal Schools of Music, London, England, a Bachelor’s Degree in music from the University of Miami where he studied with virtuoso pianist Ivan Davis having received the school’s music scholarship, the WTMI Radio Music Scholarship and the Provost Award for study in Salzburg, Austria; He also earned a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from Lynn University under the tutelage of Dr. Roberta Rust where at graduation he was bestowed the Most Outstanding Performer’s Award.
To his credit, he has performed in the Greater Palm Beach Philharmonia, The Boca Sinfonia, The Coral Gables Symphony and more recently the Klezmer Company Orchestra.
